On the one hand, Avruch’s advocacy of culture has helped to create space for the voices of local peoples within conflict resolution through notions such as ethno-conflict theory and praxis.
Conflict resolution is challenged by culture, but it also has the capacity—a capacity which complements and extends upon social science practice—for responding to this very same challenge.
