Introduction In the analysis of life, or strength, of structures or composite materials, the behavior of the hazard rate of the stress bearing components can often be deduced from a knowledge of the physical-chemical nature of failure. In those instances when it is a power law, a Weibull 32 distribution is appropriate and so parameters must be estimated for different fabrications, treatments and, sometimes, aging of the material.
